All employers on E-Verify should be aware that E-Verify is launching a new E-Verify re-design on Sunday, June 13, 2010. This re-design contains substantial E-Verify upgrades and additions but does not modify the substantive requirements for E-Verify or the I-9. The upgrades and additions will provide additional tools for employers, but will also involve submitting more detailed information to the government as part of the E-Verify process. The E-Verify upgrade includes items such as more specificity on why you are closing a case and implementing a basic "tickler" system for expired work authorization documents.
Users of the E-Verify system will be required to complete a new tutorial the first time logging into the system on or after Monday, June 13, 2010.
